The ABA Section of Family Law has adopted Civility Standards which apply to clients, to the court, and to opposing counsel.
Kentucky has long had a Code of Professional Courtesy, but family law matters have an emotional overlay unlike other litigation, which the ABA addresses in its Standards. Neither is as comprehensive as the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers Bounds of Advocacy. If you practice family law, please take a look.
